So here's the thing : Most of the members come from different countries, different culture, and of course, they have different music. Here, we can make discover to the others DA fans our favorite native bands, post their biography ( not too long ), a photo and a video/song.

So I begin? The best bulgarian band ( for me of course ^^ ) is Ostava : Ostava are an alternative rock band from Bulgaria. They are formed in 1991, but it wasn't until 2000 that they released a long-playing record (and subsequently received critical acclaim). Today, Ostava is arguably Bulgaria's finest modern rock act. The band is composed with 6 members and they have 3 albums : the last one is Rock And Roll Song Designer ? where all the songs are in english ( they've been in bulgarian in the other albums ). [ Thanks Wikipedia x) ]
EDIT : C'etait pas exactement ca l'idee, mais ca peut etre interessant aussi ^^

Moi, je commence par ...
Goran Bregović (Serbian Cyrillic: Горан Бреговић), (born 22 March 1950)
is a musician and one of the most internationally known modern composers of the Balkans. He currently lives in Belgrade, Serbia, where he settled down during the Yugoslav Wars. Bregović has composed for such varied artists as Iggy Pop and Cesária Évora. He rose to fame playing guitar with his rock band Bijelo dugme. Among his better known scores are Emir Kusturica’s films (Time of the Gypsies, Arizona Dream, Underground). Bregović’s compositions, extending Balkan musical inspirations to innovative extremes, draw upon European classicism and Balkan rhythms. Bregović's music carries both Serbian and Romani themes and is a fusion of popular music with traditional polyphonic music from the Balkans, tango and brass bands. Although he is a very popular musician in Eastern Europe, Bregović has been accused on several occasions of "stealing" original Romani and folk music of the Balkans and ultimately rewriting and branding it as his own creation.

I expected this response. He is well known in the Balkans:) I like it, we recover the traditional music in his tracks. I knew him first with his rock band of the 80s: Bijelo Dugme.

J'aime l'idée |I love the idea] !
So I will speak about a French group call :
ETHS
Eths is a french metal band from Marseille consisting of five members. Candice (vocals), Staif (Guitar, Vocals), Greg (Guitar), Shob (Bass), Morgan (Drums) composed the band actually, at the begining Guillaume was the Drumer and Roswell the Bass player, they leave the band in 2006 . They begin in 1999. They comprise two maxi-cd, "Autopsie" 2000 and "Samantha" in 2002. It was not until 2004 that released their first true album "Soma". Their second album "Teratologie" was released in 2007. The particularity of Eths, is felt especially around the voice of the singer Candice, who can sometimes shouting, sometimes singing so sweet and melodious. The musicians are not leftovers, as they apply to creating a universe to measure the voice of Candice, dark and deep. The lyrics are very tortuous and complex, all written in French with a little-used vocabulary. Eths is not accessible to everybody, but still offers a complex and interesting univers. In concert the group is very close to his audience. Letting the fans get on stage, and taking considerable time after each show to talk with them. They made several European tours and a tour in South America. They were also featured at many festivals alongside such great names as Metallica ....
Anima Exhalare (Teratologie): The most quiet song on the second album. And you can hear the different voices of Candice.
Infini (Soma): One of my favourites for the lyrics. From the first album. On this clip, you can see the band in concert =D (and for those who asking the question, Yes I ever be on their concert, and I like that )

Kaponz & Spinoza
Kaponz&Spinoza is a french pop/folk/rock band from Paris consisting of three members : Jeremy Kapone (Vocals, Guitar), Sacha Spinoza (Vocals, Guitar, Slide Guitar & Pad) & Simon Truxillo (Drums). They started in 2004 but are only really known since 2008, with the participation of their lead singer, Jermy Kapone, in the film LOL by Liza Azuelos. From that moment on, their fame was meteoric, although some fell into oblivion, while keeping the loyal fans. They released a single EP in 2009 called 'Elements du décor', as also their first video.

I wanna show you See you Next Tuesday. I know the Band since a Destination Anywhere concert
SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY are Steffen (23), René (22), Jan (22) and Jorge (19) from the Hannover area. They are one of the most up and coming bands in Northern Germany! Neon-coloured, freaked out & uncontrolled – they rock the stages of the Republic (really!) Thanks to their incredible live qualities, they have built a skyrocketing and striking fanbase. That’s also the reason for 4 different supporting Myspace pages. Lots of interaction for and with the fans is offered on their homepage!
SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY successfully participated in a large number of concerts & local and nationwide band contest. At the Coca Cola Company Band Contest, they were one of the Top 10 bands and they were also considered by expert judges of Radio FFN to be one of the best bands in Lower Saxony! This success guranteed them to be the proud winners of the prestigious audience award.

Quote :
There are a lot of things that could be said about YOUR INNER DURDEN like „innovative with a fresh sound, reinventing the wheel with music and far away from typical genres…” Seems like a good read, but would be total BS. YOUR INNER DURDEN, that’s five guys with the heart on the right place and with love for the music of their younger years. Surely there are many bands that know how to handle their instruments better but do they have as much fun doing so? I can’t tell. What I can tell is that YOUR INNER DURDEN plays punk rock without compromises – no gimmicks, no funny coloured homepages and no fuckin’ way that anything is gonna change that. There’s no money to be made in the music business nowadays so why not just make music with your heart and soul and real enthusiasm. Singing along, dancing and leaving the necessities of the daily grind behind cause EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY with YOUR INNER DURDEN.
They don´t have any official videos yet but you can listen to their songs on myspace and buy the CD.
